This event has been RE-SCHEDULED to Monday, November 10 at 7:30pm
Roberta Seret (President and Founder, NGO, United Nations, International Cinema Education, Inc.)
Throughout cinematic history, the comic film has been one of the most enjoyable to watch, but also the most challenging to create. Making people laugh is a difficult art form. Satire, farce, parody, stereotyping, are just a few styles. The use of humor is used to make social and political statements and avoid censorship. Under the guise of laughter, profound themes are found in today’s foreign films.
The Crime is Mine is such a film. It’s a current, award-winning French Farce in the style of famous French dramatist, Georges Feydeau. And it has been adapted for today’s audience. It stars Isabelle Hubert, Fabrice Luchini, Andre Dussollier and Rebecca Marder.
It’s available for free to screen with Amazon Prime and I would love to discuss it with you for an evening at the movies with our PEN members and their guests.
If interested, please watch the film at home and we can discuss it on ZOOM:
Currently you are able to watch “The Crime Is Mine” streaming on Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Prime Video with Ads, France Channel Amazon Channel. It is also possible to buy “The Crime Is Mine” on Amazon Video, Fandango At Home, Apple TV as download or rent it on Amazon Video, Fandango At Home, Apple TV online.
